About The Wheat Feet People
|
 |
“Darling, please take your freezing feet off me”
 |
This bit of pillow talk inspired Adrienne Butler to create herself the first pair of Wheat Feet in 1999. That night she designed them in her head, named them, and got up the next day to make the first pair. She still wears them today in winter.
Not long after Adrienne began producing the Wheat Feet, her husband Dennis hurt his back and he had to leave his job as an electrician with the Waihi Gold Mining Company. This opened the way for an exciting new venture they could do together.
It was Dennis who saw the huge potential in the Wheat Feet, with them being so much more effective than the ordinary wheat bags.
Adrienne and Dennis went through a big learning curve in a short period of time. The Wheat Feet name was trademarked, fabrics were sourced and a good wheat supplier was found. The sewing machine was working overtime.
The Wheat Feet People, Adrienne and Dennis Butler, live and work at Waihi Beach, a very beautiful part of New Zealand’s North Island. Surrounded by sea, palm trees and native birds, they enjoy a lovely environment which proves to be a real sanctuary plus a source of inspiration and energy.
Adrienne and Dennis have become successful due to an enormous amount of hard work, dedication, enthusiasm, confidence in the product and the desire to provide the best possible personal service.
What started with demonstrations at local markets quickly grew into a full-time enterprise. For ten years they travelled to all the big shows and expos, with venues from Whangarei to Invercargill providing a customer direct service which has made them a well known and trusted Company. Today products are supplied through their website, or by mail or phone ordering.
Due to this customer direct service prices are able to be kept to a minimum.
Business enquiries for wholesale rates are also welcome as Adrienne and Dennis are keen to supply to Pharmacies and Clinics etc.
